A broom is, without doubt, the least appreciated among all household cleaning tools.

We humble it to the “out of sight, out of mind” category, banishing it to a deserted corner of a utility room – until we need it.

And then, well … it becomes the star of the show, hugged by hands on a white-glove mission.

The prototype of the modern broom dates back to 1797, when Levi Dickenson, a Massachusetts farmer, fashioned a simple product composed of a long handle bottomed with a family of sorghum bristles formed into a brush.

Today, Mr. Dickenson would marvel at the marketability of his creation. The sweeping instrument is believed to grow from 4.11 billion USA dollars in 2025 to a staggering 5.35 billion USA dollars by 2033.

Though brooms today vary in size and shape, they’re built around the common goal of sweeping away debri, making our surroundings clean.

What can this inanimate, basic, non-complicated, simple product teach you about your habits?
